Before my friend Roberta introduced me to the wonderful world of afghans (Thanks Roberta!). I had only done baby blankets. First I started looking for afghans online. I found a couple that were really nice. I made this gray one right before Christmas. During Christmas I kept searching for new afghans to make. I found a snowflake afghan that I started crocheting. I discover that It will take me longer to finish than I thought (I"m still working on it and I will post pictures as soon as I can) . Then at the same time ( December) I found a book at the local library called "100 Afghans to knit and Crochet" by Jean Leinhauser and Rita Weiss. ( I got it for Christmas! Yeah!) I really like some of the afghans there. I was making a scarf for my sister in law for her birthday only to find out that she doesn't like scarfs. Instead she like one of the afghans in this book. The Rose afghan. Here are the pictures.

The name of this afghan is Victorian Roses. I made 63 roses already and I've been crocheting with the green yarn around it. I made one complete square to see how it will look. After I am done with all the squares it comes the fun part of putting them together. I don't know when I am going to finish. One thing is for sure. It is going to be a warm blanket :)

My mom's favorite afghan. This is called Sage Wheel. I only have to make 35 of this :) I haven't make a complete square yet. The color that is going to be in the outside is that beautiful peach color in the second picture.
While I was in the middle of crocheting the Blue afghan in the previous post, Emma asked me to crochet a "cat" afghan for her as a present for her birthday =) I told her yes, but I completely forgot until I was getting some yarn for scarfs and she reminded me about it. Since then all my other projects are on hold until I finish her cat blanket. This are picture of how it is coming along :)

I crocheted all the squares so far and I only need to finish crocheting the cats and doing the border. I don't think I will be done on time for her birthday but she is excited to see the work in progress ;-) She is still waiting to see what I will do with the cats face (humm ..That's going to be a challenge) I will post pictures as soon as I'm done.
